You may have seen these before on Bill Powell's personal web site.  They were used to illustrate some of
the features there.  The first is actually a lung in a shopping bag and the last a decorated bottle made in
crafts.  The little girl is one that we all know on the mailing list.  She is  Jan's vision of what Darla looked like
as a young girl.


Of course books do not need to be explained.  However, the drawing to the right was to illustrate a story about a careless smoker.  Seems a construction crew had poured some gasoline down a commode and a worker went in immediately after, sat down and then decided to get rid of the smoke.  OOPS!


 

The above six drawings were in a series that Jan did which depicted the west.  Of course Jan has some
first hand knowledge since she is an Arizona girl
